There are a variety of case types to select from the dropdown menu when creating a new case. These options allow for the correct calculator to be automatically opened within Redress Manager, reducing manual input.
The options are:
Endowment Mortgage
Multi-lender screen used to create a case for an endowment mortgage complaint. This is the default case type for Redress Manager
Pension Mortgage
When dealing with an interest only mortgage linked to a pension the multi-lender screen will be used
Single Premium Payment Protection
When a single PPI premium is added to the balance and a full calculation is required, the multi-lender screen will be used
Monthly Premium Payment Protection
When regular monthly PPI premiums are to be refunded a simple interest rollup on the premiums is required, therefore the Investment screen will be used
Investment Related
When calculating a refund for investment complaints the Investment Screen will be used
Mortgage Reconstructions
A simple comparison for a mortgage reconstruction will require the Multi-lender screen to be used. ‘Mortgage Related’ action will be shown as the default on entry to this type of case
Loan Reconstruction
A simple comparison for a loan reconstruction will require the Multi-lender screen to be used. ‘Loan Related’ action will be shown as the default on entry to this type of case
Premium Roll-Up
When refunding simple premiums plus interest the Premium Roll-Up case type should be used. The Case Type will default to the Investment screen where the action ‘Interest Rollup’ will be shown as the default
Pension Related
The Investment Screen is used in this type of case as the pension is not linked to a mortgage and simply deals with the calculation of the fund
Whole of Life
The Investment Screen is used in this type of case and the entry of a surrender value is allowed, which is unique to this type of investment case
Consolidation
The Consolidation screen has four options; debt, investment, pension and HIPs. The debt consolidation is based on the Multi-lender options, and the Investment / Pension consolidation is based on the Investment Screen
