Below are options relating to the various items on the investment step type screen:

 

Section

This is either; Actual, Notional or Process items.

From date

 

Option to use previous period or calculation from / to dates.  Please note to use these options there must already be existing periods or calcs present.  (Note If ‘From date’ is entered into the wizard via a user form with a wizard containing minimum default values for ‘ To date’ and   ‘First payment date’ , these defaults  are ignored.

 

To date             

Option to use previous period or calculation from / to dates and current from date + term and ‘Today’

Part

Calculation part (A-X), User Variable

Balance

Specify the balance to be used in the calculation

Reference

Specify the reference number for the case

Policy

Specify the reference number for the policy

Action

Specify what type of calculation you wish to do e.g. Fund vs. Interest.  This must be set before selecting the actual type

Allow partial fund units 

Specify whether to use whole units or partial units e.g. 3 units or 3.222  units

Actual type

 

Specify the type of fund or interest to be used for the actual calculation.  The options available depend on the action selected

 

Actual item

Specify the table to use for the fund or interest

Actual Add %

Specify the Add % for interest calculation

Actual Tax %

Specify the Tax % for interest calculation

Notional type

 

Specify the type of fund or interest to be used for the notional calculation.  The options available depend on the action selected.

 

Notional item

Specify the table to use for the fund or interest

Notional Add %

Specify the Add % for interest calculation

Notional Tax % 

Specify the Tax % for interest calculation

Dividend type

Specify the Interest method for the dividend

Dividend item

Specify the Interest table to use for the dividend

Dividend Add %           

Specify the Add % for dividend interest calculation

Dividend Tax %

Specify the Tax% for dividend interest calculation

Actual adjustment

 

Specify whether to clear the actual adjustment selection on the investment consolidation screen or to select a new adjustment set.  For the latter, make sure the name of the adjustment set is entered in the value column

 

Common adjustment

 

Performs a similar action to Actual adjustment but for the common adjustment selection on the investment consolidation screen

 

Notional adjustment

 

Performs a similar action to Actual adjustment but for the notional adjustment selection on the investment consolidation screen

 

Save case

Specify whether to Save the case or to Save and Exit

 

You also have the option to create or print a PDF for the following (based on the user’s directory settings):

 

    ■    Redress

    ■    Actual detailed output (Actual, Notional or Process, depending on section selected)
