Dear Sir / Madam,
In May 2002, following advice from my advisor, I decided to invest a regular amount each month into a savings plan with Company x. At the time of purchase I was 20 and hoping to put aside into an investment, enough money to put a deposit on a house.
I was led to believe that my money was being invested into a low risk fund and that I would receive on payout the amount on my illustration, provided by Company X. However recently I received a statement showing quite poor returns, and after speaking to the company I have been informed that my investment was actually placed in a high risk fund which did not match my risk profile.
My details are as below:
£35 per month starting on 5th May 2002
Fund cashed in on 19th January 2009, value £1,630
Yours faithfully
J McElderry
